About

CyclistsUnite was conceptualized during a 5-day workshop lead by Terry Irwin. With the help with of Brandon Dennis and Jonathan White, we were tasked to find a problem, and mapping it to wicked problems. Using transitional design practices we learned how we can destabilize the problem. We chose bike theft in Philadelphia as our initial problem and created a fictitious social activist group called CyclistsUnite.

We believed a community in solidarity can help push our problem into the limelight and get something done about it. We produced various events, a manifesto (video), merchandise and a website. Also realize advocacy is a big factor in our movement.

Ultimately all of our content resides on a website where the community will have a digital hub for all this information and be able to push this mission forward.
